This year, Lowell High School students are wishing for many things this Christmas! While everyone is excited for the upcoming break, most of all, everyone is excited for the holidays. Many students plan to get together with friends and family to exchange gifts. So, I asked around, and here is what some of Lowell’s students have on their wish lists this holiday season.
Girls on the wrestling team, such as sophomore Hayden Lambert and sophomore Emma Alvarez, wished for new wrestling shoes. Junior Lili Jadernak asked for new clothes, along with new athletic shorts for her upcoming track season. This shows that many students who are athletes wish for things related to their sport, while non-student athletes wish for miscellaneous items, such as junior Eva Velez, who wants a new TV for Christmas. While everyone is excited for their Christmas gifts, some students may spend the holidays differently, such as celebrating Hanukkah or Bodhi Day, and some may not celebrate at all but will still enjoy winter activities over break.
Some students will go sledding at parks in Lowell, such as Three Creeks or Oak Hill. Others may go see the Christmas lights around town, a number of students will be vacationing to warmer locations, and some may simply enjoy time at home watching Christmas movies. Overall, after students get through this last week of schoolwork and finals, everyone can agree that they are very excited for Christmas break!
