The TV Series “School Spirits” is a supernatural mystery about Maddie, a teen who dies and finds herself as a ghost trapped inside her high school with other ghostly students and a former teacher, Mr. Martin. While she is not allowed to leave, she joins their afterlife support group to investigate her own suspicious death, trying to piece together fragmented memories while her living friends are searching for her and answers, uncovering dark secrets about the school and its past hauntings as she finds the truth.
This is one of my favorite television series’ to rewatch. The suspense and drama this show holds keep you on edge throughout. This show will give you whiplashing plot twists that you could never have imagined, leaving you in shock after every episode. The chemistry these characters share makes this show so realistic. This is not a popular series despite some popular actors, such as Milo Manheim and Peyton List. I am very surprised this show is not better known, given the details and storyline it carries. The actors do a good job of portraying their characters, especially when they are all supposed to be a part of different eras.
My prediction for how the rest of this season will play out is that Dr. Deborah, who is the superintendent of the district, knows about the kids trapped under the school. Either she is a spirit trapped in a human body, or she is somehow connected to those kids. Either they will stop her, or before they tear down the school, the ghosts will “cross over,” which for most ghosts means they will leave the school and go into their afterlife, but for Wally, his afterlife is being alive with Maddie. Since they are soulmates, Wally will live and be able to be with Maddie in real life.
I recommend this show to someone who likes mystery, detective, comedy, suspense, thriller, drama, and crime fiction type shows/movies. You can watch this show on Paramount+, where it comes out weekly on Wednesdays at 12 am. The finale episode comes out on March 4. So if you have time, or you are bored, give School Spirits a try!
