The Super Bowl this year was held on February 8th and was the Seahawks vs. the Patriots. The Seattle Seahawks won it all with a strong score of 29-13, and the Super Bowl MVP was Kenneth Walker III. This might not have been one of the most exciting Super Bowls, but it is still one to remember, seeing what the Seahawks could do with the strength that they had on both sides of the field.

The game started especially slowly, with the first quarter ending with a score of only 3-0, the Seahawks leading. This later did not change much because by halftime, Jason Myers, the Seahawks kicker, put two more through the uprights, taking their lead to 9-0. No team succeeded in scoring a touchdown, and the Patriots had been shut out the entire time. The Seahawks were led by a strong run game, with Kenneth Walker rushing for over 100 yards. Although they did not score any touchdowns, his hustle consistently put them in great field goal position each time. The Patriots didn’t have much to back them up after the half, with Drake Maye only putting up 48 passing yards and being sacked three times for 30 yards. With this, the team only had a total of 51 yards in the first half.
The second half officially began, and to no surprise, both sides of offense had been shut down the entire 3rd quarter. With the Patriots being shut out still, the Seahawks and Jason Myers put up another 3 points to lead 12-0.
The fourth quarter was when things started to get more interesting. There are 13 minutes left in the game when Sam Darnold, the quarterback of the Seahawks, throws the first touchdown of the game to wide-open AJ Barner, for a 16-yard touchdown and extra point, making the score 19-0. A minute later, the Patriots bounce back and score their first points of the game with a deep pass from Drake Maye to Mack Hollins for a 33-yard touchdown. The Patriots got points but were still down 19-7 and needed a miracle to pull off a comeback. There was then a long moment of no scoring until there were 5 minutes left and the Seahawks knocked in another field goal, to lead 22-7. The game was officially sealed when Drake Maye threw an interception to Uchenna Nwosu, who took it all the way to the end zone for another Seattle touchdown, making the lead 29-7. At the end of the game, with only 2 minutes left, Drake Maye completed a pass to Rhamondre Stevenson for a touchdown and the final points of the game.

The game was officially over, and the Seattle Seahawks had a dominant win of 29-13, proving just how good an organization they were in the 2025-2026 season. Sam Darnold ended the Super Bowl with 202 yards and one touchdown. Kenneth Walker III ended with a huge 135 rushing yards and 26 receiving yards. On the Patriots, Drake Maye ended with 295 yards passing, 2 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. The top receiver in the game was Mack Hollins with 4 catches and 78 yards receiving.
