As we near the end of the 2025–2026 school year, spring sports are in full swing: baseball, golf, tennis, track, and softball. With the season winding down, senior night becomes a special time to celebrate the seniors’ hard work, dedication, and love for the sports they have played throughout their high school careers. To prepare for senior night, the softball senior parents hosted a team dinner for both varsity and junior varsity players to celebrate the seniors and all of their accomplishments. The event gave everyone a chance to get excited for the following evening’s Senior Night festivities.
Senior Isabella Baron said she felt “very happy but sad while I sat and talked with my team. I enjoyed the moment, but it was saddening knowing this was my last year. It was very memorable because it was one of the last times getting to sit there with these girls. This year has been a great year, and I’m happy knowing I get to end it with this group.” While reflecting on past softball experiences was emotional, it also brought back many happy memories. “It was a bittersweet moment sitting with my team and talking. It definitely was an eye-opener to how soon my senior year is coming to an end,” said Addison Fagan. She is excited for what comes next but also sad to see this chapter close. “I felt pretty nostalgic and kind of sad that it’s all coming to an end, but I had a fun time with friends,” said Kaitlyn Williamson.
The following night, the softball team celebrated Senior Night, where the seniors walked across the field with their parents and the senior student athletic trainers. During the ceremony, Addison Fagan shared, “I am sad, but I am excited at the same time. I don’t want to leave my friends, but I am excited to move forward in life.” For many in the crowd, it was an emotional moment watching the seniors walk across the field. “I am upset knowing we are approaching the end of my senior year because it all went by so fast, and throughout my high school career I had so many great memories. This is the end of a big chapter, but I know great things are to come with the next one. So I am happy yet sad as we get to the end of my senior year,” said Isabella Baron. Watching the seniors celebrate this milestone offered a glimpse into the bright futures ahead of them. Like many graduating seniors, Kaitlyn Williamson said, “I’m excited to go to college and leave.”
The entire softball program is sad to see these amazing seniors go, but everyone is excited to see what they accomplish after high school. We wish them happiness and success in everything they do. Congratulations, girls! You have made us all proud!
