As the final bell rings, and classrooms benign to empty, another great school year comes to an end. The end of the year marks for students and staff to try new things, create new goals, and make new memories over their summer break. Sophomore Marguerite Perez stated, “My plans for the summer are going to the fairs and having fun with friends and family. I will also be going to Puerto Rico and looking forward to more offseason wrestling tournaments.”
Throughout the year, students work very hard to stay on top of their school work and their classes while balancing sports, clubs, jobs, and school events. From spirit weeks, pep rallies to football games, dances, and academic achievements, this school year was filled with many unforgettable moments. For the graduating class, this ending is especially important for them since it is the end of their high school years and marks a closing chapter in their lives. As they prepare to move on to new adventures in their lives, whether or not it is going to college, trades, or other future goals, their high school years have shaped them into who they are today.
As summer approaches, excitement fills the air. Students look forward to warm weather, vacation, late nights, road trips, beach days, and just spending more time outdoors. Summer gives people a break from stressful schedules and allows them to enjoy fun moments whether that means hanging out with friends, traveling with family, attending concerts and festivals or even just relaxing at home. Many students also use summer to prepare for upcoming sports seasons, work summer jobs, and to focus on hobbies that they may have never done before.
Sophomore Hayden Lambert stated, “I’m going to travel, relax, workout, and hangout with friends.” Like many students, Hayden is looking forward to making the most of summer before another busy school year begins. Although the school year might be coming to an end, the memories created, friendships formed, and lessons learned will continue to be carried on for years to come.
