In a sport filled with grit and intensity, the Lowell tennis team has two players who truly stand out. This season, doubles partners Dylan Bisacchi and Hudson Van Deursen had a historic run, reaching goals that few have achieved.
Hudson Van Deursen played his heart out in his last season alongside Dylan Bisacchi, who still has one more season left, but made this year memorable for both of them. The pair have each reached 40 wins in both of their careers, and fewer than 20 people have accomplished this in Lowell High School history. With Dylan returning next year, who knows how far he can take this road of success to make his name remembered in the history of Lowell?
They went on to win their Sectional Championship match with the scores of the sets being 6-2 and 6-0, helping the Lowell Red Devils achieve their Sectional Title and lead them into Regionals. They got their last win of the season, shutting out their competition 6-0 and 6-0 in both sets. They fell short to Culver Military Academy in the Semi-Regionals round, losing their match with sets being 6-4 and 6-1, which marked the end of an unforgettable season for both Dylan Bisacchi and Hudson Van Deursen.
