The four-day-long play took place in the auditorium of Lowell Senior High School from November 13 to November 16. The basic story of the play is about Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy, played by Lowell’s very own Grace McIntyre and Brad Miller. The storyline follows these two people and their struggles to get married in a difficult family situation during the early 1800s.
But what really was the best part of the play? The people? The experience? Junior Ava Pocius says, “The best part about being in theater is honestly the people. Getting to be around all these amazing people who are always kind and accepting of everyone. The experience is so welcoming and supportive, and they’re so amazing.”
There was overall a lot of effort put into this play. In fact, there is a whole class period dedicated to making the sets, the costumes, etc. Everyone involved in the play had a certain role that helped make this production possible.
The actors had to endure hours of rehearsal to get their lines right and make sure the play was ready to go on stage. The crew worked hard to build the sets and prepare everything the actors needed. The hair and makeup artists also spent hours making sure the actors looked their best for both themselves and the play.
Everyone was important to this production. Each person had their own contribution, and together they helped make the spring play a success.
