The Environmental Club, run by the students in the club, is hosting its thrift sale from February 2nd through 12th. They collect as many donations as possible and then hold the thrift sale in room A208 for the time being. But what really goes on behind the scenes of this thrift sale?
Treasurer Trinh Tran says, “Lots of planning. Planning ways that we can give our peers opportunities. We organize and coordinate where clothes go, and that takes a lot of time. We do this for students who would like the opportunity to love something new and give up something else for someone else to love as much as they once did.”
Many opportunities have been created and shared, not only for the students who receive the clothes, but also for those who donate them. They gain something that money cannot buy: the feeling of doing something good for a meaningful cause.
