The title of “Student of the Month” at Lowell High School is an achievement a student can earn by being a role model, showing leadership qualities, and being an all-around great person. For the months of August and September, Brody Kalwinski was awarded Student of the Month, being only one out of five students to receive this prestigious honor. Kalwinski is a leader on the field and a role model to many students through the program Student Christian Fellowship.
Outside of school, Brody loves supporting the younger generation of RDP football by attending their weekend games and helping the youth train during practices. Brody also enjoys working out in his free time, going to the YMCA with friends, and always striving to hit a new PR on the bench. As Brody gets older, he continues discovering that his passion lies in the field of biology, and he plans to earn a degree in that area. His next goal is to attend medical school to become a doctor and help people in need. Growing up, Brody has always been a role model in many ways; his younger brother, Luke has always looked up to him and has been inspired to push himself to be even better.
RDP has a rich tradition of producing quality football players within the NWI area, and Kalwinski is no different from the mentors who came before him. Brody led Red Devil Football to a 7–2 record in the regular season and finished the year with a 9–3 record, placing second in the conference.
Brody had a great athletic career and an equally memorable four years of high school. Thank you, Brody, for being a great student and an outstanding quarterback for the Lowell Red Devils.
