Lowell Senior High School offers a wide variety of classes, including medical, agriculture, and engineering courses. Many of the medical classes provide several options, such as Biomedical Science, Principles of Healthcare, and Principles of Body Systems.
There have been several conversations about new classes, a big one being an EMT program. EMT stands for Emergency Medical Technician. This class would help students who are interested in a medical field career get a better understanding of different options while also learning important tasks that can be useful in your future life.
To be able to be certified as an Emergency Medical Technician, you have to be eighteen years old, which means that the only seniors would be able to take this class. Â It will be a two to three block class to be able to participate in hands-on activities to prepare for the certification test at the end of the year.
Unfortunately, this class is not being offered this year and will not be ready for next year. The school is hoping to have the program fully implemented by the 2027–2028 school year.
