Mason Umfleet was honored as Student of the Month, a recognition that highlights his outstanding achievements and character. According to Mr. Martinez, Mason not only excels academically but also stands out as a respectful and supportive peer who is always willing to help others.
Mason’s commitment to learning and his eagerness to participate actively in class discussions have earned him the admiration of both teachers and classmates. Mason said, “I am honored that people see me doing good things. Knowing that others notice my effort makes me feel good.” His ability to balance schoolwork with extracurricular activities reflects a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills. He takes sports seriously, including his involvement in baseball at Lowell High School and with Lake County Kaos, a travel team.
Mason shared his proudest moment of the year, stating, “Winning Student of the Month or winning a fall series baseball tournament were both meaningful to me. After falling to one team, we came back and won two games in a row.” Being named Student of the Month not only celebrates Mason’s accomplishments but also encourages him to continue striving for excellence.
