Mrs. Nichols is hosting her first-ever plant sale this year! It has been a huge team effort. The FFA members stepped up to buy all the seeds and supplies, while students in Horticulture, Greenhouse Management, and the Capstone class have been the ones actually growing and caring for everything in the greenhouse.

The sale is happening Friday, May 8, from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 9, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you come on Saturday, come hungry because Mrs. Nichols invited local food trucks to set up! So far, Papa’s Mini Donuts & Cheese Curds, as well as Dirty Sips NWI (the dirty soda/Alani truck) are confirmed, and she is hoping a few more will join the lineup.
Mrs. Nichols is super proud of how hard her Agriculture students have worked, especially since this is their first time organizing an event this big.
“They have spent months planting seeds, transplanting the plants once they are big enough, identifying nutrient deficiencies, developing sale materials, and helping to plan out every aspect of the sale. The Horticulture students have been especially impactful as they have been planning this sale for the whole school year and have designed many details of the sale!”
The class even used data to make sure the sale was a hit. In 2023, students sent out a survey to the community and received over 600 responses. They used that feedback to decide exactly what to grow and how to run the sale so it is tailored to what people actually want.
Come out on May 8 or 9 to support our students and FFA members and check out what they have grown!
