I know many people don’t know much about the Creative Writing class. To help you learn a little about what some students have done so far, I asked a few Creative Writing students some questions to better understand this new class. Here’s what I found from each person in our Q&A.
First, I talked to junior Cici Leonhardt about her experiences with Creative Writing. I asked her, “What did you take away from Creative Writing?” She responded, “I would take away the fact that I can write more poems and be able to write good, imaginative stories.”
I then asked, “What is an interesting story about this class you would like to share?” She confidently replied, “There were a lot of teamwork activities, and it was all really nice.”
Curious about the class myself, I asked, “How would you describe this for others?” She said, “It’s a chance to let your imagination run wild—school appropriate, of course.” I chuckled a bit as she clarified that the topics had to stay school appropriate.
Next, I asked, “Would you take this class again?” Matching my energy, she responded, “Absolutely. No second guess.”
Before ending the interview, I asked one last question: “What is your favorite part of this class?” She replied, “I liked how we had to communicate and share our ideas. It helped me find friends with similar interests.”
Lastly, I interviewed junior Damen Gearlds about his experiences in Creative Writing and how he felt about the class. To begin, I asked, “What did you take away from Creative Writing?” Damen responded with a short but striking answer: “It’s interesting.”
I then asked, “How would you describe this for others?” He replied simply, “Fun.”
Curiously, I asked, “Would you take this class again?” Without hesitation, he responded, “Yes.”
Finally, I asked, “What is your favorite part of this class?” Damen answered, “All of it.”
That’s all we have for this time. I’m glad you read through “Creative Writing: Behind the Stories.” I hope you might consider joining the Creative Writing class next year!
