As the school year comes to an end, students at LHS gear up for one of the most important academic events of the year: Advanced Placement testing. AP exams give high school students the opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge they have gained throughout the school year in college-level courses, which can help them earn college credit.
For many students, AP testing week represents months of hard work, dedication, and preparation. From late-night study sessions to review packets and practice exams, students have been working hard to prepare for subjects ranging from AP English Literature to AP Biology.
While this week can bring stress and pressure, it also gives students a chance to showcase their abilities and academic growth throughout their high school years. Teachers and staff provide encouragement, support, and helpful resources to help students prepare and stay confident for their exams. From this week into next week, students will be taking exams in AP Research, AP Seminar, AP Biology, AP Human Geography, AP English Literature, AP Physics, AP World History, AP Statistics, AP U.S. History, AP 2D Art, AP Calculus, AP Psychology, AP English Language, AP Spanish, and AP Computer Science.
To succeed, students are encouraged to get plenty of sleep, eat healthy meals, and arrive on time for their exams. AP testing week is more than just a series of exams; it is a milestone that reflects students’ determination and academic achievements. As students progress through the week, they are not only completing tests, but also taking important steps toward their future goals.
